Bowl For Kids' Sake

St. Mark's will again this year enter a team for the "Bowl For Kids' Sake (BFKS) " fundraiser to be held on Sunday, April 28, conducted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County, MD. The Quilters

The Quilters would like to thank everyone who donated materials for the quilts. We made approximately 166 large and 65 small quilts since last spring. This year the quilts will go to: WACO Family Center, Early Head Start, WIC, The Pregnancy Center, Children In Need, Lasting Changes, Wells House, Holly Place, Hannah’s Homestead, Elder Abuse, and of course, Lutheran World Relief.

Hagerstown Choral Arts Spring Concert

Pastor Brian will be performing with the Hagerstown Choral Arts for their Spring Concert, "We Will Listen," a concert about hope and the joy of listening, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Randolph Avenue, Hagerstown, on Saturday, April 27, 4:00pm. The concert is free, but donations are appreciated.

Mother’s Day Geraniums

The Altar Guild is selling geraniums for Mother's Day. They are $6.25 per pot.  This year the colors are: red, pink, salmon magenta, and white.  Geraniums orders need to be in by Sunday, April 28.  These flowers will be used to decorate the Sanctuary on Mothers Day, May 8th.  After the service you can take them home.

Pastoral Visits

Please call the office or Pastor if you would like a visit from him. Please note that the hospitals and emergency admittances staff do not inform us. Please inform your loved ones that in case of emergency care, for them to contact the church. It is vital that you call the church office or Pastor Brian when you hear that a member is in the hospital. Pastor Brian will visit them as soon as he is able.  It is a pastoral obligation to visit the sick and the shut in. Thank you for your assistance...

On behalf of the Council and congregation, I would like to wish Pastor Brian a "Happy One-Year Anniversary." April 1 marks the anniversary of the official starting date for Pastor Brian as presiding Pastor at St. Mark's. His first service as Presiding Minister occurred last year on Palm Sunday, and we have been blessed with his ministerial services since that day.
